About us

Communication support that fits real life

PECSConnect started as a shared folder between a parent and a speech therapist. It grew into a membership library used at kitchen tables, in classrooms, and in clinics.

Our story

When a child is learning to communicate through pictures, the difference between progress and frustration is often preparation. Cards need printing, schedules need updating, reinforcement needs tracking — and the adults doing that work are already stretched thin.

We built PECSConnect so that the preparation takes minutes instead of evenings. Search a card, build a routine, print it, log what happened, and see the pattern. The same materials travel between home, school, and therapy so everyone is teaching the same language.

PECSConnect is an independent resource library. We are not affiliated with, or endorsed by, the organisations that publish the original Picture Exchange Communication System curriculum, and our materials support — never replace — professional guidance.

What we care about

Family-first

Every tool is designed to be usable on a busy Tuesday morning — printable, low-prep, and forgiving.

Evidence-informed

Our guidance follows established picture-exchange phases and reinforcement practice, written in plain language.

Built with practitioners

Speech therapists, special education teachers, and behaviour analysts review our materials before release.

Practical over perfect

Small consistent wins beat elaborate systems nobody maintains. We optimise for follow-through.
